Curiosity Lab and the City of Peachtree Corners welcomed leadership from Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) – one of the world’s leading financial institutions – for a formal signing ceremony to mark the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at driving innovation across fintech, climate tech, sustainability and smart city infrastructure.
The moment marked a major milestone for Peachtree Corners, as MUFG’s presence brings new global insights and industry expertise to the Innovation Center. With a shared commitment to shaping smarter, more connected communities, the partnership will open the door to new opportunities in cross-sector collaboration – bringing together the financial sector, public institutions and tech innovators.
The signing ceremony began with remarks from Deputy City Manager Seth Yurman, City Manager Brian Johnson and MUFG leadership, followed by an introduction to Curiosity Lab’s living lab environment. Guests toured the 5G-enabled smart city ecosystem and viewed firsthand the city’s advancements in connected mobility, real-time data solutions and edge computing.
As part of this partnership, MUFG will work closely with Curiosity Lab to explore and test emerging technologies that support a more sustainable and resilient future – including research and development around financial tools that accelerate climate innovation and urban growth.
